16th Annual SEMS PSAT Experience, an Empowering Academic Tradition

Since 2006, ACE Tutoring has conducted the PSAT mock test as a free service to the students of San Elijo Middle School. What had started as a progressive experiment 16 years ago has become a valuable tradition. The select number of SEMS 7th and 8th graders who take the PSAT mock test gain exposure to the standardized test which is typically taken in high school. These SEMS students experience the testing environment (including exam timing and content) without the academic pressure since the assessment results are shared with students and their families, not with colleges. Empowered by knowledge, families can help their children boost key skills before they head to high school. By making the most of their time in middle school, students have a greater chance of facing the rigors of college entrance exams with confidence. Helping families navigate the road to college is the mission of the ACE Tutoring team, which has proudly supported the students of SMUSD for almost two decades!
